For some reason I haven't been able to vox from my home computer until today??? strange!!
Well anyway today is the day after the Feista Bowl...
I was lucky enough for Pastor Neisent to let me take charge of getting the church party together for last night's bowl.
I spent a lot of time over break getting prices, coming up with games and all the other things that go into planning a party - feeling very confident that everything was covered I went to the church to put it all together - hoping and praying that I could find help!! I knew I had Sonya and Sharayah but most of the MC team was just getting back into town... but as always they pulled through for me and the church!! We were able to get it all decorated, food put together and had plenty of food/drinks to go around (a few times) - then we tore it all down cleaned everything up and I personally came home feeling the pain of being busy for 9hours!!! :-)
I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all the MC students that came and helped me pull this party off - I couldn't have done it without you!!!!

Father I love Your ways
You came in your mercy, and died in my place
All I can do is bow
Because of Your mercy
And Your sovereign Grace
Sweep me away
Sweep me away in Your Love
Where nothing else matters
(2x)
Tears rolling down my face
Because of your love
and your sweet embrace
The peace that just overflows
It’s here that I know
You have been waiting to....
So today is Friday... another week has passed! This year is FLYING by - I have finished 2 online courses and will be finished with the 3rd on Dec 15th... WOoo Hooo!!!! :-)
"Jesus, Lover of my soul
back to school today - started with prayer @ 6am... didnt get to sleep till after midnight so I'm a little sleepy today!!! Its nice being back tho. Not much going on today just getting ready to meet with Pastor Dan for piano stuff... already met with Pat then I have to work toda --- by the way did I mention that I have a job now!!! PTL now I will have a little cash when I need it :-)
I just realized that I haven't been posting on here like I am supposed to be doing....oops! Things are going pretty good right now. I have been home over a week on Thanksgiving break - its been nice not having to be up early for class but I FINALLY got a job and had to start last Monday - so not so much of a "break" and I still had to do school work online and my piano stuff... so I use the term "Break" lightly!!! :-)
Thanksgiving was good - got to spend time with the family that I dont get to see all that often - saw my old pastors and their son (they were my pastors most of my teen years) it was nice seeing them again and hearing what they are doing... their son is 16 now and has a christian heavy metal band that is getting ready to tour this summer...
I had to go to a funeral on Saturday :-( not so much fun. I could explain who's funeral in a few different ways but I will just say it was some friends family member (being that I am friends with most of the family) It was a really sad deal and I had to face a certain person that I haven't seen in over 5 years - that was rough! But necessary I think!!!
Anywho - I'm looking forward to getting back on schedule this week and seeing everyone again - its been kinda wierd with out everyone around!!!
Ok so today during prayer I was listening to my ipod - a song came on called "I call your name" I have heard it a million times - its one of my fav's - but one line really stood out to me this morning....
Well I finally finished my first online course - Theology for the worshiper!!! My next course starts tomorrow... but I dont remember what it is.
I've been listening to a CD series from John Bevere - "Drawing Near" -- its so amazing! He's talking alot about how God said "if you draw near to me than I will draw near to you" - God is there for us all the time waiting on us to meet Him - he also says that God yearns for us - definition for yearn: an intense longing, consistant and persistant - WOW can you even understand the depth of that????
